Our Programs

Instructional Programs

We have many paths to success for our students. Our goal is to develop the tools and skills it takes to get them there. Our programs include:

  • Reading, Writing, Math Skill Building — Build basic academic skills for work, home and community life.
  • English Language Acquisition — Newcomers and others learn to speak, read and write English.
  • High School Equivalency Exam Preparation — We provide students with all the resources and instruction they need to prepare for the GED or HiSET exam to attain a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania High School Diploma.
  • Career Awareness and Exploration — Learn about career options, explore possibilities, and learn what it takes to get on a career path.
  • Career Pathways Advising — Work with a student advisor to set goals and develop a career and education plan to prepare for postsecondary education and a career. Transitional support and education navigation helps adults stay on track so they can reach their goals.
  • Workplace Education Programs — In partnership with employers we develop customized education programs so that employees have the skills they need to be safe and productive at work.
  • Digital Literacy — Provide students with digital literacy skills training, links to free or reduced cost internet access, and technology resources (including computers) so they can participate in adult education classes, and be competitive in a job market that is seeking employees with basic technology skills.
  • International Healthcare Professionals Program — This program provides opportunities for internationally trained healthcare professionals to learn English, explore career pathways and work with advisors and mentors to assist them in reclaiming healthcare careers in their new home. If you would like more information about the International HealthCare Professionals Program, contact Daniel I. Weber, M.D., FACOG weberobgyn@gmail.com.
